The concept of "Oceano" shaft
It's a shaft very strong, with top level finishing and made of valuable materials, rigid, has solid and hydrodynamic fins, accurate and very flexibles for traditional arbaletes, roller and with encaged shaft, as the american way.

Technical description Oceano shaft
  • The Oceano shaft is made in 17.4 PH rebored
  • It's made out of 17.4 PH bars certificated by steelwork; straight and smooth
  • The Oceano shaft is C.N.C. machined
  • The Oceano shaft has 4 fins, 3 backward ed one for preloading for diameters 6.25, 6.5, 6.75, 7.00, 7.25, 7.50, 8.00
  • The Oceano shaft stands out for fins position, like shark fin, at 60/90/120/360 mm from the bottom of the shaft.
  • Fins are finely smoothed and are perfect both for dyneema and for other wishbones types
  • "Shark fin" tips are TIG welded and create a stiffening bridge on the shaft, inscreasing its balistic performances.
  • The point is conic
  • The engaged fin is supplied, on request, in the double - mono under - mono above configurations.

How to connect the line to the shaft
  • Shaft 6.25 e 6.50
  • Has a hole in the bottom part (practical for fish burrows) and one one the preloading fin at 360 mm from the bottom of the shaft (useful for roller)
  • Shaft 6.75, 7.00, 7.25, 7.50 e 8.00
  • Has a hole in the bottom part (practical for fish burrows) and a bridge at 375 mm from the bottom of the shaft, made out of in AISI 316, which has, insted of D.2 mm hole as for smaller diameters, an 'entry' for lines 2.1 mm height (W. 8.00 mm) which allows to tie huge dimension monolines, alse kevlar coated.
Custom configuration on request
On your dealer request and with prices in final, it is possible to have following configurations:
  • Fins number on request
  • Fins position on request
  • Possibility to have solid or pierced fin
  • Possibility to have solid dridge on smaller diameter shafts
  • Tripoint tip with geometry on request: Example long, double fin tricuspid, short, mono fin tricuspid (for coral reef)
  • It is possible to have screwed shaft for diameters 7 - 7.25 - 7.5 - 8, with M7 screwing or in inches (5/16-24UNF)

Innovative mounting barb system with welded pin.
The new welding method of the barbs directly on the shaft allows:
  • not to have any deflection of the barbs' hole under loading (no overturning)
  • maximum hydrodynamicity
  • perfet penetration in the fish
  • usage of strong pins hard to clench but excellent to weld with our new process
  • the reticolar integrity of the welding on the shaft
  • standard equipped on all Hunt shafts single barb unless otherwise requested

Penetration cone
The cone is build in C.N.C. machined brass and has a very hydrodynamic profile; it's produced as accessory to be mounted or already installed on the shaft.
