Hunt firing mechanism are presented in eight versions:
  • Target 1
  • Target 2
  • Target 1 MATCH
  • Target 2 MATCH

  • Target 1 Combat
  • Target 2 Combat

  • Target 2 MATCH Combat
New firing mechanism HUNT have now technological innovations and that make them complete:
  • Rubber soundproofing system: when firing you do not hear the typical click that, in some cases, the fish can sense.
  • Automatic line release: introducing the shaft into the firing mechanism, it set itself fluidly in the best position to hold the line.
  • Reversible line release: right or left simply by unscrewing the turned bush that is its rotation axis
  • Reinforced line release 2.5mm thick: well smoothed and polished for nylon monofilaments.
  • Spring on both the trigger and the retaining tooth of the shaft, to ensure a secure pair of the shaft itself.
  • Burnished screws supplied for a complete aesthetic effect (for Target 1 also the plug d.3mm aisi 316).
  • Flared seat for the screws to allow a cleaner shooting line and a more sober aesthetic
  • Firing mechanism box 2mm thick in aisi 316 burnished for an anti-glare effect.
  • Polished stainless steel trigger and release tooth for a pleasant chromatic contrast with the burnished case
  • Maximum sensibility and fluidity thanks to the new pins in hardened and polished 48HRC aisi 316.
  • Welded pins to prevent any possible tampering and to guarantee their solid and indissoluble fixing.

Combat version

The range of firing mechanisms is enhanced by four further models: Target 1, Target 2, Target 1 MATCH and Targer 2 MATCH are now produced in Combat version.
The Combat series firing mechanism, created for those who have to equip many rubber bands on their speargun, is not a product for everyone: it is dedicated to the most demanding and experienced 'hunters'; it's the maximum evolution of the compact backward firing mechanism.
It has a fluid, clean firing action, which means with maximum sensibility and shooting accuracy.
The Combat series firing mechanism is made with a lightweight box and has a thinner side silhouette.
The black levers are the hard tested of Target 1 and Target 2, but have a very high hardness of the material, minimum hardness measured 60HRC, and an excellent surface roughness.

Firing mechanism - technical specifications

The firing mechanisms Hunt are made entirely out of AISI 316, as well as the firing box (thickness 2mm), ensuring great strength .
It has the retention of the line system integrated; the trigger is semi-curve shaped as the most important semi-automatic terrestrial hunt weapons.
The models Hunt Target is barrel-finished in whole its parts, and fine finished; the cut where is located the line releasing is C.N.C. machined in a later step in order to guarantee an excellent opening.
The line releaser works on the side of the sprocket releaser, so even if the line is much pulled the trigger weight does not increase .
The line release is located on the right side and has a proper size: 22mm in length with a thickness of 2.5 mm.
The safety tests performed on the traction mechanism is 500 kg; The trigger weight is 1.5 kg and holds up to 180 kg shaft traction (5-6 elastic 16 diameter at 320 % elongation ).
The sensation of the shot is a mechanism sensitive and very fluid: the trigger stroke is short but very intuitive and plus the Hunt Target are compact and very backward and allow you to make the boost of the rubber bands for a stroke 4/5 cm more than a traditional mechanism.
The engagement sprocket and the trigger are made in AISI 316 thickness 6mm.
The part of the mechanism that is hosted in the barrel of the speargun is 47mm long with a thickness of 16mm and height of 18mm .
The strength point is the sensitivity of firing due to very long levers that minimize the force applied to the trigger

MATCH version of Target 1 and Target 2

Target1 HP and Target 2 MATCH MATCH HP has the characteristics of consolidated Hunt products: great materials finishing and manufacturing accuracy , which give the firing mechanisms beauty and reliability.
ForMATCH version the main technical note is the ability to vary , 5mm forward and 5mm backward from the typical one, the position of the trigger, allowing a real customization of the mechanism about the location of the trigger compared to the position of the first phalanx (which is the part used to shoot correctly) of the forefinger in the act of "Making Fire".
When you want to have a greater release sensitivity, in the precision shoot, the trigger is moved as more advanced as possible; in this case when it is at the limit of the center of the first phalanx, it is rotated as shown in the photos.
This system leads to a good footing on the trigger, a better control in the shooting and a great comfort feeling.
The MATCH does all this 'underwater'.

Firing mechanism Hunt Target 1 and Hunt Target 2

Hunt Target 1 firing mechanism is provided with a front plug d. 3mm and with a 3mm backward wood screw for mounting on spearguns.

The Hunt Target 2 has a simplified mounting system: 3 screws at the top; therefore has two "ears" in the font part, TIG welded, perfectly leveled with the rear.
This feature allows you to assembly the firing mechanism without the use of shims or whatever, making it very simple its installation with a pretty appreciable aesthetic result.
